Stroh Ranch Recipes

Tri-tip Recipe Title

Ingredients:
1 - 2 lb. Tri-Tip Roast
1/3 Bottle Carol Hall's Ranch Marinade

Place the marinade and the roast in a Zip Lock bag. Squeeze out the excess air and place in the refrigerator overnight. Turn the bag occasionally until ready to BBQ. Keep the excess marinade from the bag for basting. BBQ the roast on medium coals for about 30 - 40 minutes. Be sure to baste the roast as it cooks to capture the delicious flavors of the marinade. Cut against the grain and serve immediately.
Serves 4.

Chicken Recipe Title
Ingredients:
4 Chicken Thighs
4 Small Boned Chicken Breasts
1/2 Bottle Carol Hall's Ranch Marinade
1 tsp. Chopped Fresh Thyme and Parsley

Place chicken in a baking pan with Carol Hall's Ranch Marinade for 1/2 hour before baking. Toss in the herbs and bake covered in a preheated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Serve with rice or noodles, french bread, green beans and a glass of Mendocino County Zinfandel! Top off with a dessert of ice cream and a splash of Creme de Menthe.
Serves 4.

Lamb Recipe Title

Ingredients:
1 6 lb. Leg of Lamb
2 medium Yellow Onions peeled/sliced
6 Baking Potatoes, quartered
1/2 Bottle Carol Hall's Ranch Marinade
Cornstarch & Water

Marinate the lamb overnight in the Carol Hall's Ranch Marinade. Bake lamb in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Add the onions and 1/2 cup water. Bake 1/2 hour more and add potatoes. Bake another 45 minutes to 1 hour until potatoes are done. Remove the potatoes and lamb and keep warm. Make a gravy with the drippings and cooked onions by adding a water/cornstarch mixture until thick. Season if necessary.
Serves 6.

Country Backed Ribs Title

Ingredients:
1 Rack Baby back pork ribs or 4 lbs. beef ribs
1/3 Bottle Stroh Ranch Smoky Jalapeno Honey Sauce Hot or Mild

Boil ribs in a covered pot for 20 minutes. Drain and place ribs on a baking sheet. Brush sauce on the ribs and bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes. Brush more sauce on as needed.
Serves 4.

Fish Recipe Title

Ingredients:
2 lbs. Salmon or Halibut

Brush Carol Hall's Ranch Marinade on the fish with 1 tsp. dill weed, 2 tsp. minced fresh garlic, and 1 tsp. minced fresh parsley. Bake in 350 degree oven until done.
Serves 4.

Vegie Recipe Title

Ingredients:
Fresh Vegetables for the Grill
Zucchini, Sweet Peppers, Mushrooms, etc.

Brush Carol Hall's Ranch Marinade on your favorite vegetables shortly before grilling. Grill on the BBQ or saute on the stove.

Smoky Jalapeno Honey Sauce Ideas

Pour the new Stroh Ranch Smoky Jalapeno Honey Sauce over egg salad, use instead of mayonnaise for dipping artichokes, use as a dressing for chinese chicken salad or on meatloaf, pour over grilled oysters, go tropical as a glaze on skewered shrimp and pineapple, use as a dip for wontons and eggrolls, add to Ranch Dressing and pour over a Shrimp Louie salad or taco salad, and last but not least splash on macaroni and cheese!

Marinated Button Mushrooms:
In a large bowl combine 1/3 bottle of Carol Hall's Ranch Marinade, 6 cloves chopped fresh garlic, 2 pounds fresh button mushrooms, and parsley flakes for color. Marinate overnight and serve in a ceramic bowl with colorful toothpicks. Serves 8 as an hors d'oeuvre.

Crab Mousse with Carol Hall's Ranch Marinade
Ingredients:
1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
8 oz. Cream Cheese
2 Tbs. Gelatin dissolved in 1/4 cup water
8 oz. Fresh Crab, minced (imitation is fine too)
1/4 cup minced Green Onions
1 cup Mayonnaise
1/4 cup Stroh Rance Marinade, shaken well

Heat soup and cream cheese until melted. Add gelatin and pour into a bowl. Mix in remaining ingredients and pour into molds lined with Saran Wrap. Place in refrigerator until chilled. Place on your favorite platter and serve with crackers. Serves 10.

Elk Jerky:
Mix well 1 lb. Elk hamburger with 3 TBS. Carol Hall's Ranch Marinade. Roll it into long, narrow strips and place in dehydrator. Add a little black pepper and red pepper flakes for flavor. Submitted by M. Barra, California

P.J.'s Party Mix:
In a large bowl combine one 12 oz. Box of Kellogs Crispix Corn and Rice Cereal with 1/4 cup Carol Hall's Ranch Marinade and 3 tablespoons of melted butter. Mix well and spread evenly on a large cookie sheet. Bake in a preheated 275 degree oven for 1/2 hour. Toss twice while baking. Let cool and add some of your favorite munchies such as peanuts and/or pretzels. Enjoy in front of the computer or while watching your favorite TV program!
